View Full Version : FCS Stand - Your thoughts...
Hey Peeps,
I'd like your thoughts...
Firstly, if anyone is planning to purchase Saxperience stickers at the FCS, please let me know NOW, as I will be making a final sticker order tomorrow.
Secondly... The show stand at Saxperience. What are your thoughts on a marquee, flag, banner of some sort?
I really have next to no time to arrnage this stuff, but if we can agree something quickly, or what you think will be cool... I'll try to sort it out.
No idea where to get flags made smileys/smiley5.gif But I do know 2 firms who do signs... but they're not cheap!
Your thoughts...

oooooh, this sounds exciting. last year we saw other clubs with this sort of stuff. Is fantastic seeing us thinking about it.
possibly .....we could sort cars in teh hierachical form of sax p i.e. mods, premium memebers, memebers etc. would be a no fuss way to organise. It would also be a way to have those MODDED mental cars in with normal cars so they can attract people to cars on the standard.
We could stick a few out the front to get peeps interested in the stand, simo's harper's, dannyelks if he's still coming, but then we get in to realms of who's is better than who's.
we could also go for a colour by colour thing, NOW THAT WOULD BE DIFFERENT> clump all teh like coloured cars togehter!!! LMBO! © sax-p
A banner with http://www.sax-p.com/skins/Saxperience/v3.2.1/coolblue/hdr-logo.gif would be tres cool, but probably expensive.
and as for flags, have the same design on as the cards we've all just been given, 4 of them to mark out corners of sax p ground!!!!!
my thoughts.

find somewhere who does big smooth fibreglass panels, or similar, of the color you want, then just get some stickers made up, and DIY it maybe. prolly work out same price though.
Just spoke to my regular printer who can do a banner no problem, but I asked about flags... They are happy to print any design onto a flag, but I need to supply the flag.
So... Where can I get a plain flag.... Oh, and what we gonna do about a flag pole????
Do you best peeps... I gotta go to a meeting now smileys/smiley5.gif

i could get a gazebo too as a mate has one! id like to hear some ideas about positions on the stand tho.
Hey guys... we dont want the stand looking like a shanty town smileys/smiley17.gif
Still not confirmed plans for flag/banner...
Proper flags with flag pole are knocking on for £175 plus printing smileys/fcuk.gif
Banners are between £70 and £300 depending on size, amount of colours, etc smileys/smiley5.gif
Not sure If im going to have enough spare time to sort this out though?

Thats a lot of money Simo, then again they could be used show after show and would probs be good for the long run. Maybe if you just get one or the other for now and maybe get some more for Trax??? Maybe if everyone chipped in a few quid it would be better, everything seems to come out your pocket!
Realistically, its going to have to be one or the other this time, as spent far too much on sax-p this last 2 months smileys/smiley5.gif
I will try and arrange something tomorrow afternoon.

sorry to give my opinion at such a late time in the thread, but the flag/banner is a brilliant idea.
we had one for surrey modified. it was ok, but looked a bit out of date (compared to the rest). i would like to get something arranged before fcs, but then i would need to know exactly what we require in terms of sizes, fonts, wording, etc...
so simo, maybe something you are only able to do on your own and then i dont see why the sax-p show stand members cant chip in AT LEAST £5 for this banner!?! say there are approximately £50 people on the stand, so a good £250. but this depends on how much money YOU have to spare, but you will be getting it back on saturday/sunday. maybe wack it on a credit card or something? only a suggestion.

Hey guys... we dont want the stand looking like a shanty town smileys/smiley17.gif
I asked first smileys/smiley17.gif
Ive just aordered a 5'x3' flag and 18ft flag pole.
The flag wont be spot on, as the place doing it dont have tme to do what I really want... but it will be better than sweet FA smileys/smiley17.gif
Its going to be a portrait flag and I will have to knock artwork up for it later this evening...
Also made arrangements for a full-colour PVC banner, but that takes ten days.
Might nip to my second printer fella to see if they can knock me up a el-quicko two colour banner?
I wanted everything to be full colour, but no time for that now...
Football corner flags wasa good idea I think, but been to 3 sports outlets and not managed to find anything? smileys/smiley5.gif

Sounds good, easy way for eveyone to find there way back.
also how easy is the flagpole to erect / does it have guide wires etc that
support it or do u have to dig a hole!!??
Flag pole is self supporting.. its sorted. Just a pity theres not enought ime to get a proper one done.
Ah well, just sorted some interesting merchandise deals out too for release some time aafter FCS.
Been a busy afternoon...

sounds good simo'
i'm the business rep for the Medic Society next year and just to order
something as simple as say 40 t shirts seems to be a stupid amount of
effort, dam retailers.
Sounds like it will be a good day, hoping to be able to get down there for
a bit but just depends on how the work goes

I have a brand new 3m metal banner framework you can borrow from my club PGAC.
All you need is the banner to go in the middle.
I am not likely to be back onto this post as I leave soon so could you email me asap or call (If you want it for the day)
