Thinking about selling the sax and buying something else but have no idea what yet. Would love a pick up but they use too much fuel. Can anyone suggest something? Want something reliable, sporty, economical, cheap to insure and fairly cheap to buy (5K or under). My thoughts are that anything in that spec will be a downgrade from the sax but someone may have a good idea!

Glanza & Clio sport... both v nice but would cost me to insure and run. Just bought a flat so trying to cut down costs with the car yet still have something fun and sporty. I do like the C2's but it would need to be the vts and I'd need to mod it and that defeats my purpose lol.

Corsa C 1.8 sri, same power as vts but a bit slower due to weight, my mum has one and when i had it for the week it was great on fuel due to the ecotec engine, saves loads of fuel until you get throttle happy

not to sure what else but have you thought of getting a diesel?? The Diesel VW Polo will do 700 miles to a tank, thats fuel economy for you ;)

Have put deposit down a on Megane 1.9 Dci (turbo) - you can pick these up between £4000-£6000 depending on age, milage and features.

No such car.

That was my thinking!

Keep the saxo?

Sounds like a good option. Don't think there's much else out there that compares to it!

I would look at diesel's but with the price of it just now I'm not so sure about it. May save up and buy a bike!
