Nobody drives my car but me, and my dad when he steals it.

Don't let any of my mates drive, for this precise reason.

22nd May 2008, 14:54
awww that is gutting! :( i feel sorry for both the guys involved really!

I let certain mates drive my car, but not out on the roads, they get to drive it in a car park, and that's about it! For one, it's illegal for them to be out on the road in my car, and two....I'm scared of this kind of thing happening! I will only let certain mates drive my car who i can trust to drive it sensibly and who i know can actually drive well so they aint gunna reverse into anything or something like that!

The question is, how fast should he have been going? ;) If it was a 30mph zone then of course the owner can be miffed - if it was a 60mph zone then that's just sod's law and could have been him if he had driven it. Still, he gets to keep his NCB so that's something!
