I used to work for a conveyancing solicitor a few year back but got made redunant, when i left i got asked if i wanted to go back with my mate and make some money clearing out the attic as he was selling the building, he had told me what to throw away and so on it was just boxes and boxes of really old paperwork, anyway 1 day we had a look through 1 of the boxes and found some Deeds which date back to just over 300 year ago, so we took a couple just to have a look at them as they were going into ther skip anyway, these got forgot about when we got home, but ive just came across them tonight while sorting thought some things, they are big once unfolded and just full of scribble (fancy old writing) which i cant read lol they have old fasioned wax seals on them and are old and browny coloured. just wondering if they cud be worth something, what do yous think ....

Title deeds are just a document that show who owns a particular property or land. The person named on them is the legal owner.
To my knowledge, you won't be able to claim anything if you aren't named on them.
Basically, you've got more chance of finding rocking horse shit on planet mars.

I work for a firm of solicitors and one lad sold some like to this to an American. Apparently they love things like this and will pay top dollar for them

Go to your town hall and go to the town planning, see if they can clear up what they are, if not your main library may have something or someone who knows about these :y:

I think what is being asked is are they worth anything as they are so old, i.e. a collectable item, not can they claim to be the owner or the likes.

Hit the nail on the head there :y:
Wasnt expecting to be able to claim and land or anything like that just thought someone might see them as a collectable with them being so old :)

Pics or it didn't happen. :p
I see loads all the time. Worth fuck all to anyone except the current owner of the house and usually they won't pay. Look pretty cool in old frames on the wall though.
