well in the past year ive had over £650 worth of transactions, so for like anti fraud or identity theft reasons paypal have been emailing me to confirm my identity and bank account. fair enough

but they also keep emailing me asking me to fill out my business infomation, but i dont have a business and it wount let me use paypal untill ive filled it out.

anyone else had this prob?

I did it, its because you transfered over £500 iirc, its just for security reasons as they think your a busines because you spend so much, i just made a name up and all is fine

yeah ive had same problem mate, just make up a name and fill rest of it in :y:

its to do with money laundering laws etc. They just need to confirm your legit. They do it when your total transcastions ie outgoings plus incomings add up to 4k too.

There used to be a bit that says 'if you are not a business' because I had the same thing a few months back and selected that option and I can still use paypal.

yeah me too did same thing i have paid nearly 300pound in fees this year aswell grrrr

I've had this come up on my paypal account its such a pain, so with the business thing you can just make up a name ect?

Does anyone know the repercussions of putting fake details down? If this is to stop money laundering and you are claiming to be a business - when you really aren't..? Just a thought.
