since ive got my car, its been nothing but problems, so far theres been:

3 windows
clutch
battery
rear axle
brake pads falling out (wtf?)
wiper motor only works in 2 speeds
power steering
airbag
driveshaft
exhaust falling off due to rust
downpipe broke (my fault - too low)
ripped seat - bought it like that
rev counter stopped working
break lights stopped working
blowers stopped working
mirror
spoiler came off - vandals
ariel snapped - vandals

well thats all i can think off at the moment haha
i think its quite a list seeing as ive only had the car 10 month but if any1 can top it then ill b amazed

i brought a car for 3k ages ago

And then took it to get it serviced and they said it needed 3k work doing

Do i win? lol

And yes it was a saxo

R reg so 1997 i think

132,000 miles which is alot i know

i dont rag it much but i think the previous owner did lol

bloke didnt tell me it was in a shunt and just covered the evidence

And being it WAS a mate and all, i didnt really look properlly :( my bad

Lol always look carefully in Saxos they can cost you a lot of money...

well mine was only 450 quid... the bloke didnt even know it had powersteerin, got home changed the relay and it worked haha

Found out earlier: ran into a bloke bout two months ago- my fault I admit but found out instead of repairing his bumper he kept the money- £150 which I paid!! Right pissed off am I

its gettin selt as soon as i find a nice german car to get my hands on

Ok mate sounds like a lot to replace but the milege is high!!

tbh mines done 120 000 and is still going strong, serviced regularly and looked after tbh last a lifetime as will any car

Got my renault 5 for £1800 awith no t&t and took it for an mot £2000 later it passed.

Loved it to bits though until the turbo and the gearbox went :( was running 230 bhp though :P

the joys of saxos.Best thing i done was get rid of mine.I couldnt put up with the problems anymore

Found out mine had been in a rear smack.....

tbh mines been ok.

Spemt 450 on a beam...
25 on a lower arm (i hit a kerb) :oops:

but the rest i spnt on it has been voluntree.
Wheels, 'zorst etc

had it 2 months 95k

head gasekt
cam belt
water pump
clutch
brakes
found shit loads of rust under neath


and is curranty off the road for a new engine



i now know why it was used as a trade in

Ive spent nearly 1k in a year

Headgasket
Wishbones
Radiator
Brakes (two disks + 4 pads)
Heater Matrix

modding it has been cheap though, spent about £400

It wasnt stolen like that, they snapped it off and smashed my windows after chasing me with a axe... how fun that night was :bump:
