Just watched the news and petrol garages have brought out a new device, with increasing fuel prices people have started filling up then driving away. To combat this petrol garages are going to start using a stinger device. lol. Oh dear.

I can remember when the Police were harrassing me years ago and they kept waking me up about 8pm claiming a car was using my reg plates to steal petrol, great days!

Need to build some device into the bottom of your car, where the 4 tyres you drive on get stung and go flat, 4 new ones pop out from underneath and off you go! :D
Stealing is wrong, but with current prices I can see why some people might try their luck. Its been said before Mr. Gay-Gorden Brown, lower the f*cking cost of petrol!

It'll continue to rise, end of. If it ever goes the other way again I'd be very surprised.

Apparently it's going to get to around £1.50 per litre by the end of the year..
But i don't care.. i found a tenner at the pub about an hour ago.. that will pay for about 3 litres..

I'm going to say one thing here.
In the industry if a person fails to pay for their fuel it is not called a drive away, it is actually called a Drive off.
I know this as I worked ata Petrol station for 10 months, and had a few drive offs on my shifts, and it is not the nicest of things to happen when your on your own.
This is the procedure we used:
Write down registration number
Make a note of Make and model of vehicle (Including color)
Description of driver (Male/ Female), rough guess at height, skin color, rough guess at age, any jewlrey.
Call the Police, give them the all the info, give them the Site name and number.
Call the Store manager.

what if u drive and park up in the petrol station to let the geezah behind fill up?
I think it would be better if you pay first and set it to £20 and the pump stops at that.
Be easier then so u dont go a penny over lol. Or set it to fill up till it stops?

its all well and good
untill someone stands on one and sues the petrol station
and i think the pay before you fill up is a good idea

Won't go down very well, once there's an "accident" puncturing a tyre or a foot or the likes... they will lose more money than the system cost from getting sued. :y:
Few things piss me off as much as fuel prices. Especially since my car runs on 98 ron, soOo annoying soon we won't be able to drive the cars we like. Its partly why I bought a Type-R at a young age, want to use these things before prices really soar and it becomes impossible to use these sorts of things :(

Went to the BP the other day. Shoved in £15 went to pay...
"that'll be £55 then please"
"YOU WHAT?"
"Errrr... you filled up £55 in your tank?"
"Nope only £15 how did you get that price?"
"Oh ok, must of been the car before you that drove off... my mistake"
This was at 1am. Make the next person pay for the petrol ftl!!! :n:
