fuel range

my missus fuel gauge has stopped working in her car. its a 1990 1.4 auto fiesta. she drives like a granny cos shes only just passed her test but she panics about it running out. anyone got any ideas how far it will go on a tank?

dunno really, she puts some in every day cos she gets worried! i was just wondering cos if it was filled up then she could use the mileage trip and go from that. most i got from my saxo was about 350 with motorway driving, the least was about 100, driving at redline. so im guessing hers should be good for 150 ish?

My 1,6 Zetec S does 300 miles to the tank thrashing, and 360 granny driving and that is on average with about 34 litres!

I recon she'd get at least 400 miles from a 30 litre tank at guess!

fill it up to the top n keep topping it up every 150/200 miles :y:

yea just fill it up to the tank and refill ever 200miles or so

ill get it fixed for her soon. but she gets all worried about ending up stranded in the middle of nowhere.:panic: cheers all.
