Has it been kept in a dry place?

Could be anything as it hasnt been touched for years, could be that a part has siezed up. Might be the coil pack as you mentioned just keep trying to start it pressing on the accelerator.

hey, mate, you need three things air, fuel, spark, old petrol aint good for a stood up motor, i would check those three thing first, if you suspect there no spark at the spark plugs, remove the coil pack, and all the spark plugs, clean them, then fit the spark plugs into the end of the coil pack, then ground them to the engine, then spin the engine over, you should get a very clean spark from all the plugs! be very carefully as you could get a shock! so rubber pliers! is fuel getting to the engine??? does it sound like you got compression??? hope this helps you!!

O dear, if it bin outside probadly got water in the fuel, um getting the fuel out, i dont no for sure, but if you life the back seats is there acess to the fuel pump?? if so drain from there! if not, maybe disconnet from inlet manfold and with the ingtion on drain from there! be care of fire, and over heating the pump, failing that a manul pump, or a lenght of hose!

well cant say i disowened it really i bought it and 2 days later the wheels all siezed up as i was driving down the road, needed a new drivers side wheel bearing etc all thx to the gearbox being bodged up to last a hr if that so had to pay alot to have a full gearbox done, then 1 day it was parked outside like aways at night and some1 smashed the mirrors off call the cars in the street mine got it also, it got broke into etc but disowned idk coz ive had the car 6 yrs and ive looked after it best i could, but honestly for its age its a very clean car has just 1 tiny bump on the off side back panal thx to the woman next door hitting her door off my car, so as u can see i took pretty good care of it when i say the car got broke into for somereason they opened the bonnet from the catch as u could open it easy from the front end as i was having a new front grill put on, and all they took was the fuse box but that was replaced and fitted by a garage
