RIGHT, :wall:

Have noticed some strange hollow/metallic click/ping noise when I pull away. Have noticed its there more when I pull away and sounds like its under the car somewhere. Any one had similar sort of noise?

Cant tell if its front or back though, some times it sounds like the back some times the front...

The car had a new centre section and back box fitted within the last 2 months, have only really started noticing it where i've been driving with windows open etc.

Rep for help

Thanks again guys

my cat is in the manifold. dunno if that is it as it sounds more under the car.

I did a little experiment. put handbrake on 1st gear and released clutch. can hear it make a small ping when i do it. When i drive away its louder.

I seem to remember some1 mentioning something about a spring on one of the joints on the exhaust. Would this have been replaced when the centre section was replaced?

iirc that spring is on the bit where the downpipe meets the center section on the joint

i remember reading that it makes that sound if the bolts that go through the springs arent tightened up equally

I had a similar issue, asked a couple of people who didnt have a clue, asked a mate who works for Peugoet, immeaditely said take the hubcap off, my wheel nut cover had come off and was rolling around inside the hubcap.

Moot point if you have alloys though :P

13mm bolt on the end or the torsion bar where the arb plate is check if that tight sometimes they work there way loose and you get a slight pinging noise mate
