Subs!!!

Hey,

I just bought a pioneer sub, an amp & a wiring kit.

I understand how to put the sub in the box lol and to wire the sub to the amp (just about) but from there on i am completly confused.

Could somebody tell me what to do?

Im very confused bout which wire goes where?? and which wires i gota use

The big thick power cable goes from the battery to the 12v input on the amp. Obviously it has an inline fuse, which goes as close to the battery as possible.

The other thick power cable goes from the earth on the amp, to the chassis of the car. This is the earth lead, and is critical for a good, un-interfered sound.

The thin blue wire goes from the blue remote cable (blue or blue/white) on the back of the head unit to the remote terminal on the amp.

The cable with two phono plugs on the end, goes from the head unit pre out to the input on the amp.

Can i just ask what sub and amp you have? Because you may have dual voice coils, which could potentially pop the amp if wired incorrectly!
