you can go for black diamond disks and green stuff pads as they are not that expensive compared to some! I have not changed mine so wouldn't be able to tell you if they are any good or not but have heard a few people with them on so they can't be all bad!
But for squeeky brakes I donno what you can do as mine squeek sometimes as well and it also does my head in! I have a certain way of more or less getting around it but don't know how to cure it!

My girlfriends 106 has been doing that for ages now!
We have finally sucumbbed and are gettin them done at Peugeot dealer today at a cost of 76 quid just to clean the rear ones which is what they reckon it is!
Pisses me off how much they charge! Really need to start learning how to do them myself.
That's my rant of the day...hehe.smileys/smiley9.gif

Check the Sax-P premium members section.
GS Motorsport are doing really good deals on brake kits.
Might be worth a look.
LMBO! © sax-p! at you two, fair enough it is in the wrong section but pickin on the spelling is a little petty, anyway i have uprated my brakes to ebc drilled an grooved discs and they still squeek alot too! smileys/smiley7.gif
go to a BREAKers yard, and pick up the calipers and carriers from a pug 306 gti-6. you'll have to grind about 3-5mm off the carrier, but it's a piece of piss and the improvement is huge. and here's (http://www.donnyshow.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/brakes.html)a how-to guide for the conversion on a 106, but it's virtually the same. smileys/smiley4.gif

wasnt there a big issue on spelling things a month or so ago and i know you probly think it is petty but i wasnt taking the piss or wot not i was just correcting an error made by 2 people. I didnt know he would take offence.
and i think demon tweeks had some good prices on the ecb discs! smileys/smiley4.gif

u could check ur rear brakes. if they are drums they can squeeck aswell. mine have started to squeeck, and i recently had ym front discs n pads changed. i would recomend black diamon disc n green stuff pads, as my bro got them for his civic, n now he can stop 3 times as fast as me :@

The girlfriend's 106 is back.
Had the rear drums cleaned cos that's what the dealer said. At a cost of 76 quid.
Surprise surprise they are still squeeking!!!
What a waste of money.

Rear drums need removing and sanding down (inside) and sand down the glazed mirror like finish on the brake shoes and then clean up with half a can of brake cleaner on each side. If they still squeek then maybe the drums are lipped and catching the inside of the shoes. Same on the front, if you have worn discs (lipped) then the pads catch in the ridged part of the disc, heat up and squeek like a bitch.
Used to have constant problems with mine but all ok now with a VTR conversion on the front
