Right, car went in to get done today and they just rang back saying the torsion bar isnt going anywhere, as in, theyve tried for 2 hours and its not happening.
Whats the alternative?
I need it doing asap, but it doesnt look like it happening before FCS as I go away on saturday:(

Erm, there is no alternative... Not without getting another rear axle...
Could try a different garage maybe?

tell em to use some muscle. have they tried using the other method where they hammer the arm off and lift it to the designated height?

Definitely keep going with the hammer, coke & WD40 coz it'll shift in the end. When I took my car to be lowered it was in from 9am til 5.30pm - the bloke said it took half an hour to change the front springs and another 7 hours to sort out the torsion bar!!

the splines method, which is the wrong method and can ruin your axle bearings.

Where did you get it done mate? Try ABP in Nantwich, Cheshire, i know it ain't really local for you, but they did mine after the first place i took it to said it weren't going anywhere. I spoke to them and they there hasn't been one they haven't been able do yet. http://www.abpmotorsport.co.uk They specialise in saxo's :y:
