I've done a quick search and not found what I need......so the question is...

What do I do with the speaker wires from the head unit?
Do they just get by-passed by the amp? Can I disconnect the wires at the speaker end and leave the HU end where it is, or what?

Hope this makes sense to someone.
I made good progress installing my amp this evening, but am just wndering on this point.....

lol im here mate ;)

when you take your origional speakers out, ull be left with the wires that were connected to them in the door. just leave them there (as if you sell your car you can reconnect the old speakers) simply wire your wire from the amp to the speakers - if that makes sence?

or use the orgional speaker wire and connect that to your new speakers.. then run your speaker wire from the amp to the back of the headunit, then connect the speaker wire from the amp to the origional speaker wire

What is the "Memory" wire for, which comes out of the amp into the HU?
Is it vital that this is connected?

Not sure what you mean when you say memory wire..

Is it yellow, and is it labelled as "memory"?

If i remember correctly, that's the yellow wire? That store's in your saved radio stations and amp/sub settings. I'd suggest connecting it.

might be remote wire?

Well i will take a stab at what it does...

I wreckon that if you save the settings on your head unit i.e. radio presets, then turn off the ignition, when you turn it back on, you have lost all the presets.

If this is the case, then it obviously needs connecting, but if the settings are still there, dont worry about it mate!:y:

Now that Ashleys said "Remote", that rings a bell.......thats what it was labelled.

Any ideas?

remote wire is a switched live, as in when you turn your car off, the headunit turns off too (this will save battery)

it connects to the remote wire of the amp

it should be in the position A7 of the iso block which connects to your headunit
