Does anyone know if you can take an amp anywhere and they fix the amp? and how much you think they would charge and is it worth it or just buy a new amp?

What amp is it? If its under £100 brand new then dont bother fixing it. Just get a new one.
Its a throw away society, and electrical goods just arent designed to be fixed, but thrown in the bin instead.

Look on the amp, should say. Are you sure it's your amp that's broken too? Worth checking all connections etc. before taking it to be fixed.

If your mates amp worked then it must be the amp. Checked the amp fuses?

Now i know there is something wrong when you say its 2000 watts, but you dont know the make of it... If it was a good amp then the manufacturers logo would be plastered all over it id have thought.
I assume its a pretty cheap amp, which could be bought for cheap, hence, not really worth repairing.
Athough i could be wrong...

Check the fuses! Usually stuck into the side of the amp, cheap as chips to replace too.
