yeah it could be mate. clunking could be a number of things
engine mount
gearbox mount
exhaust
drop links
bottom suspension arm bushes
strut top
drive shaft

drive shaft

engine mount is solid as hell
dunno about gearbox.. sound like its near lower front left where the knocing is
exhaust was fitted after knocking
i have new drop links
maybe wishbone?
strut maybe
drive shaft maybe.. but there is no play or cleaking joint

drive shafts are a bitch for knocking, ive had 4 saxo's now and 3 of them were knocking due to shafts.

could be wishbone?

check strut and see if its leaking fluid and see if you can hear it knocking by bounchin the front end up and down :y:

also try pushing down one the the bonnet to see if it still makes the sound then if it does it is most likely the suspension

Get a garage to tighten the suspension top mounts with a windy hammer. :y:

dam just had the MOT

It passed and only thing i got was a advisory to say my both my rear radius arms bushes/pin have very small play in them

So what the monkeys can it be?

Cant be any suspension gear otherwise the MOT today would of picked it up,

Maybe Drive shaft? You can feel the knocking on the footwells if that makes any difference
