my saxo was burnt to a crisp, its been recovered but im not sure by who
rang insurance and theres nothing on there that says theyve recovered it... so im guessing it might be the council
after looking on the dvla website it says u can declare vehicles SORN
but you should not declare SORN if the vehicle has been sold, permanently exported or scrapped.
now theres nothin salvagable on my motor so im guessing it will have been taken to be crushed and melted into baked bean cans or sumit
any help appreciated

Doubt you will need to declare a SORN.
Will be crushed i imagine, if nothing is able to be salvaged

I would SORN it anyway to prevent you getting in trouble

Think there is a form you can get from the Post office to SORN it mate.
Sorry about your loss though, pictures looked well bad!!!

Is there a need to SORN something, which actually won't "exist" so to speak?

most likely the police have it and have a record of it. Pass your crime reference details to the police and send your V5 to your insurer as basically when they pay you off they will own the remains..

Just tell the DVLA that your car was set alight and that there is nothing left of it.
They might just be your best bet.

spoke to the farmer, theyve got hold of it
they need my V5 so they can take it to be crushed, thankfully they arent charging me or claiming off my insurance
