anyone else see it??? Has to be THE stupidest mistake i've seen this year. Hope he doesn't drive on the road considering he doesn't know a red light means stop! I was suprised at how calm Raikonnen was, respect to him for not going mental lol.

safety car came out. bunch of cars pitted including hamilton and raikonnen. raikonnen got away first and got to the end of the pit. There was a red light on which means ur not allowed to leave so raikonnen stopped. Hamilton shot out of his pit box and smacked into the back of raikonnen taking them both out of the race.

The funniest thing was that in the interview before the race he was taking the piss out of his dad for crashing that Porsche earlier in the week. His words were "how can you crash at 30mph?".......IRONY lol

Nah he was obviously trying to miss them both by going to the left, going to the right would have just nailed the wall... Still pretty foolish mistake imo, might be his lack of experience?
Either way, cost him the race and championship lead

Yea i believe that too. As most would do he just attempted to point the car at the first clear spot. Was just messin when i implied he purposely hit raikonnen ;)

i couldnt believe it when he crashed i was like WTF?
how can he not see the red light.
maybe he was trying to go one better then hes dad.
bad mistake, although in an F1 car vision is poor, its very rare the red light is on in the pits, and lack of concentration has not only cost him good points in canda but also 10 places on the grid for the french GP.
Kubica is the guy everyone had forgotten about for the championship and very fitting he won here after nearly being killed in 07

Couldn't believe when I saw him crash, was like wtf!

ten places is deserved...he went into the back of Kimi when a light was red...therefore taking kimi and himself out of the race.
You could also blame the McLaren team for not informing him of the red lights..although it doesnt excuse him for being stupid and not looking at the lights...

green?
tbh iv seen worse crashes then that that defo warranteed penalising and nothing happened.its a racing incident, iam sure hamilton would have prefered to have gone on and won like he was gonna.
Silly mistake!
However it did mess up Kimi, so any penalty is deserved, we all have to pay for our mistakes eh

10 places is standard grid penulty when stuards enquiry find a driver at fault in a situation such as this.

usually because F1 own the rights to all clips, and therefore they get removed from online very quickly

Working link, very stupid mistake. Obvious he swirved to the left to avoid hitting people and or the wall. I can't believe the excuse 'didn't stop in time', everyone knows F1 cars have great stopping power, assuming the tyres had been warmed in the pits.

f1 cars actually dont have such great stopping power at low speed in the pits. The tyre pressures are down, there is no aerogrip either, very easy to lock a brake and then slide into another car. Human reaction is also something which people forget about. ;)

It was a bloody stupid mistake to make, but at the end of the day, he's only human..
