and in step 1 i can only remove the centre bolt, the other too on either side have some sort of weird nut on the other side which just isnt coming loose. ive unclipped everything but its only this left and its really annoying me cos i cant get the fookin grill off , is it some sort of locking nut becuase it had a white bit of plastic around it but i took them off - help me!

Right first off take indictars out and remove the white blocks
Then there are 3 screws on top unscrew them, sometimes the bit the screw is in breaks and just spins. Get a pair of grips to hold it whilst you unscrew :y:
then the grill should just pull off :y:

these are the offending bastards, the reason for all the brown crap is the wd40 cleaned some rust off - any ideas to get the bolts out?

Once the head of the bolt is seperated from the thread you should be able to put pliers underneath & carefully release the bolt.Use a hand drill don`t put to much pressure on it pick a bit slightly smaller than the bolt head.

u should be able to get some pliers on the nut under neith then get a socket set 10mm, use the 10mm n ratchet slowly undo....chances are they could snap which could be a good thing, abit of elbow grease is all thats needed mate...they will shift at some point...keep trying.

na i cant grab em , they look big in the pic but they are really small and quite hard to grab

you can grab them with mole grips or large pilers mate had to do it with mine then simply replace them. get a mate to hold the pilers on the nut really tight and you get a socket with long adapter to get max leverage and it will come of

i can get the spanner on the top but just everytime i try levering it open , me/mate slips with the grip, ive been adding wd40 like twice a day, if i was to saw it off, what kind of saw could i use? or if i was to drill through it would it take long

Drilling won`t take long just follow what I said in a previous post,if your hacksawing i off then a junior hacksaw pity your so far away or i`d have done it for you.

lol that would be very useful, no worries, if i got the black and decker out where do i drill the bolt and do i just replace with similar sized bolts from b&q becuase the nearest citroen dealer to me is 10miles!

Yes but your better hand drilling rather than power drilling you don`t want to put to much pressure
on it with it being plastic.

after 2 hours of sweat and dirt finally managed to do it. i used a feck off pipe wrench lying around my shed which i clamped down the butterfly nut, then with the longest size 10 spanner i had (which still didnt have much leverage, i jammed a pipe of the end to give EXTRA leverage, even with all this heavy duty stuff, it took about an hour each bolt becuase this kept on slipping/moving out of position and i could turn it one thread at a time.
the two bolts are gettinbg replaced definatly cos i dnt ever want the same prob cos its so frustrating. thanks everyone for the help i really appreciate it
