As some of ya know, I've bought a damaged VTR which im going to start repairing next week...
Question is.. The clutch pedal feels real loose when i press on it with the engine off & goes all the way to the floor with little pressure.
Also when released i can still pull it an inch up from where the pedal stops of its own accord... do i need a new clutch or do you reckon I can just adjust the pedal / tighten the cable ?

Have to say Saxo's are good for teaching how cars work / how to fix them.. so suppose its a bonus really.

Yeah try adjusting it first, sound like theres slack in the cable tbh. Very easy to do, adjust it on the two 10mm nuts on the end of the cable (gearbox end)

Make sure you don't over adjust it though, you can tell if you have because you'll get a sort of tapping/humming noise when you depress the clutch. If this happens no matter what It'll mean you need a new clutch!!! :y:
