If you dont know what you're doing i wouldn't attempt to DIY it.
If the driveshaft isnt fitted or setup correctly you'll damage the box and car further.
Take it to a garage or a trusted friend who you know can fit one instead.
You need to take the whole fron suspension setup apart and drain/refill the gearbox whilst replacing the seal so it will take an hour plus.
Get it done properly for piece of mind mate :)

I'm a numpty at DIY most of the time but sorted my driveshaft out by myself as my first proper job with the guide in premium members. After I cross threaded one bolt *doh* the garage had a look and said everythings fine and were shocked at had well I had done it up to crossthreading the one bolt. :y:
If you have enough guidance you'll be alright to do it yourself, when your mate does it for you... let him guide you through it, it's not that hard tbh :A:

Driveshaft was the first major thing I done too. Its good place to start if you want to learn and fix your car yourself. Just get someone to check it if its your first time doing it:y:

this is in the premium members section too ;)
On the gearbox, you'll have two sump plugs the higher sump plug is where you fill the oil up, and the lower is where you drain it :y:
this is what I cross threaded, with my stupid heavy handed-ness ::geek:
