Was driving the other day when my car suddenly juddered 2-3 times, this is the first time anything like this has happened.

The car didnt stop/ konk out or anything, it just juddered a little and then continued as normal?? My BF was in the passenger side and he said he felt it a little too?

Was just wondering if anyone could help or if anyone has had the same problem? Rep given!!

Its an 02 vtr if that helps, with 60k. Ive recently had a time belt change too.

Thanks, again rep will be given!

Normally this can either be a dirty TPS sensor or the crank sensor could be loose, also i would check that the spark plugs are all in ok as it could be a misfire.

could be alot of things, could be a piece of dirt picked up by the pump but to small to filter, could be a number of loose connectors, could be just a sensor giving flase info for a second, ecu not liking what it saw,the worlds your oyster tbh.
as long as the ecu light hasnt come up on dash, and its driving ok now, dont worry just drive with a smile, its a saxo lol.

could be worth checking the spark plugs, anything ignition related can cause sorta misfire..

coils, leads, sparks.

i had juddering on mine not long ago but quite badly - turned out he spark plug casing was cracked and the coil pack had a hairline crack where moisture had got in. spray shit loads of WD40 or GT85 in that general area to ensure no moisture. i changed plugs, leads and coil pack and is fine now. throbs a bit still but the idle just needs adjusting. hope that helps!!

cheers for the help..i thru abit of redex in it and that seems to have sorted it, but in sayin that, it was pretty much a one off and hasnt done it since anyway.

But the engine management light came on, then went off, then came on again?? but its away again too lol i dunno, hope the redex solves it!!

Mine started with a misfire with the EM light on and off and it turned out to be the coil pack (common fault) so just keep an eye on it, if you have problems check the coil pack teets and they may have white powder on them (electric arc) or green (oxidation)
