Is it possible to hire a low profile (not well known) track for the day.

We can have as many goes as we like then, and im sure most of sax-p will be up for it, so it will be cheap as fuck then.

Im not clued up on this sort of stuff

Id be well up for it.

My local club hires Llandow track quite a lot.

Only costs around £2000 for the day.

With 40 cars it cost £65 for a member and £75 for non member.

Track day FTW.

If it's just a random track though the costs can spiral out of control. Medical Services, Insurance etc. Alot of cash.

As Jackman said, Llandow do loads. Mission for most people though.

sounds a good plan, would be well up for this. altho, picking somewhere is going to be hard as there are people all over the UK.

i would aslo love to do this, when i was 15 i did a 'first drive' thing for my bday (argos!) and it was on an airfield, but there was a track set out for other people, and so many lotuses were racing, and other cars.

That was a really good air field, nice n big

i can find out where that is

id definatly be up for this :) i use a local airfield as a track lol, too much grit flying around though and cones dont really give it the track feel.

Correct. its really is a steal.

can't wait to get back out there in July. will have my camera fitted this time so i can get some in car footage.

Top gear is filmed in Dunsfold. Doubt it will be for much longer though. I'm sure i saw a planning application for a hue housing development on an airfield there.

Llandow is good, but tbh i've been there twice, once in my brothers westcoast and once in my car.

I dont know if its me but i got bored of it the second time i went, fair enough if you've never been out on track then Llandow is a very good track to get to grips with things.

However once you've done a few tracks imo your much better doing something like Donnington or Mallory etc. Were doing Donnington on the 25th July if anyone fancies it..

I agree, price is great but only a short track. There are some £99 track days at the end of the year. If we could agree a date one could be booked. Check bottom of the page. I know that loads of people on here say that they are up for track time but when its time to pay its the same faces again and again. Personly I would love another sax-p track day. Been to brunters with sax-p and it was good.
