Ok have a few questions about ice

At present i have a kenwood head unit 2 new kenwood front door speakers sony tweeters to left and right of back seats (although they aren't in use) and kenwood 6X9's

I want to add a sub and an amp..the thing is can i have all these speakers running together?

Would this drain the battery too much?

And would taking out the spare tyre balance out the extra weight of the sub and amp?

You either strip your car, or you dont.

Theres no point putting sub and amp in, then taking spare off just to lose weight. Either go down the route of making your car very light, or stick to looks and go down the route of making your car look/sound good.

'Alot' of people prefer tweeters at ear level. However everyone hears sound different, so the best idea would be to put abit of blue-tac on back of your tweeter and try it in different places. This way you can find where the best place is for 'yourself'.

Also i suggest ditching the 6x9s. Dont work well with sub. I'd recommend this set up:

Front components with an amp connected to them, then Sub in boot. Ditch the 6x9, they sound shit and look shit :y:

Your car is a Saxo VTR right? Should be fine with standard battery. As long as you dont play your tunes whilst your parked up (aka draining battery). Whilst your moving your alternator will charge your battery back up.

Hope this helps you mate.

ps.
If you wanna be extra safe you could buy a battery charger and keep it in the boot just incase you do drain your battery.

I only wanted to ditch the wheel to keep the handling and acceleration the sameish. I don't know what size speakers fit in the back next to the passenger seats i only had a quick look and they are very small so assume they are tweeters.

I thought the front speaker 6X9s and sub set up was what most people have?

you dont need rear speakers and 6x9s are gay end of.

front comps amped, and a sub amped is ideal setup in a saxo

and i wouldnt ditch spare wheel. wont make much difference, and youll be fucked if you brake down with a puncture :n:

sub in middle of boot will keep weight evenly distributed :y:

Simply no need for rear speakers in a little hatchback!

The front components deliver all the sound required, hence no real need for any kind of rear fill.

Granted in some circumstances it can be nice to have some fill coming from behind you, but imo not needed in a saxo.:D
