Hi.

My mate had her car broken into at the weekend, and the cd player stolen. When they took it out, they just cut the wires past the block, so she just has wires there now.

I am going to put a new block on for her, so she can plug another stereo in, but can anyone tell me which of the wires are which especially the speaker wires.

From what I can see, there are the following

Power
Black - Earth
Brown - Switched live?
Yellow - Permanant live
Blue - Illumination?

Speakers
2xRed
2xGreen
2xBrown
2xWhite

Could someone let me know which are FR, FL, RR, & RL with the speakers and that I have the power leads correct.

Any help greatly apprieciated (I've sold my saxo so cant check mine)

Many thanks

im afriad i dont know the colours of the wires off the top of my head but if you have a multi meter or even a bulb circuit tester its a piece of piss.

I can remember that the red and green are the front speakers and brown and white are the rear speakers. Telling which side is which your just going to have to do each speaker idividually

i think the Green is left and the red is right (front) and brown is left and white is righe (back) but dont count on these as it has been a while since i have looked and all mine are disconnected and wired to an amp anyway! smileys/smiley5.gif

right pain to do this is.
I had to do it manier moons ago. Colours are not co-ordinated like other cars. So multimeter and a battery (to test for speaker frequencies) was required.

I just had trial and error on the speakers. The rest was easy with a mulitmeter. But she has serious problems with fuses blowing all the time since they stole the stereo for some reason, so she's taking it to an auto electrician to have a gander!!

Cheers for the replies!
