hi ppl,

still got a prob with my 99 mk1 vts it cutting out when im driving, iv cleaned the idle control valve and throttle body but no succes, also its when my foot is on the throttle... can any1 help? possibly the fuel pump?

Yeah could be a fuel problem, injectors, sensors hrad to help with little infor mate, maybe when it does it again have investigate, the three basic thing you need a engine to run are: a gd spark, fuel, air! Can you check the fuek pressure yourself??

first car mate imlearnin things as i go along lol but i have a machanic mate who can, it only seems to do it when i get lower on fuel sort of 1/4 tank.

Maybe try a new fuel filler, then, could have a blockage! if your mate knows what he doing let him look mate!!

could be a sensor faulty, throttle sensor, coolant sensor

we did the filter before the idle valve... he said if that dosnt work we would flush the tank and get a new pump... i thought id ask before see if any1 new?

i would be checking fuel pressure mate, and go from there, your vts will keep you busy!!! you learn loads! as my mates keeps breaking down all the time!!lol
