It would be much easier to undertand if you used commas and full stops mate.

But what i think you are tyring to say, is...

You get interference through the sub?

It has to be an earthing issue mate. Make sure that where it is earthed to has a good solid bolt, and that the terminal is touching bare metal. So sand off any paint round the bolt. Also, keep the earth cable as short as possible and make sure you use a good thick cable.

iv earthed my amps to the same point as before, iv sanded down the metal to remove all the paint im usein very small screws, and my earth cables are no longer than 2 foot. Iv tried about 3 or 4 diffrent places to earth the amps to.

Well thats a bit odd, being as it worked before...

You could always try a ground loop isolator, but it really shouldnt be necessary tbh!

Check the earth on the battery and on the alternator. This could give you interference.

Well you need to trace the wires back from the negative terminal on the battery, then the same from the alternator. Cant remember off the top of my head where they earth though...

P.S much easier to read;)

Well it is obviously something to do with the amp then, cus your fronts dont distort.

What gauge wiring have you got, and what gear?

iv got 2 basic 360 watt amp wiring kits from motor world 1 kit powering my mutant amp 2 channel x80rms, rca from that amp goin to my headunit, that amp powers my vibe slick 6x9s, then i have the 2nd amp wireing kit going to my JBL GTO 752 amp which powers my jbl gt5-12_12" 1100w sub.

That is odd! A good unit that is too! I used to have one till it broke! lol

Must be something to do with the preouts on the unit...

How have you got the crossover set??

gilbert-furio
17th June 2008, 10:10

I cant remember if it has one or not tbh, but i would imagine it has, being as it has subwoofer control.

Not that it would give you interference mind...

Take it back, get your money back, or swap it for another one.
