I was thinking before about making the rear windows out of aluminium(sp) and spraying them the same colour as the body.

This way would look like a van but could open rear windows still. Lighter than glass aswell.

why would you want to do it? for looks? or weight saving? or something else?

it will look weird. i could understand completely smoothing out the rear windows to make it a van, but what your suggesting would just look wrong imo.

also wouldnt it be very easy to break into? you could just bend the metal as it would have no strength. it wouldnt make a noise unlike breaking glass so would be a very week link in the cars security.

i think it could look cool to completely smooth them out. i.e. make a van. but i cant imagine what you suggested looking good.

tbh honest you may look like a gimp but if its a weight saving idea may be worth a good looking into as would be cheaper than perspex!

I wouldnt have to worry about people breaking in its parked in garage most the time or im in it.

looking at that one it didnt look too bad matt black. (the windows - there was other stuff that looked terrible) I dont know if posi blue would suit thought.

Personally don't like the idea, I would have thought perspex would be more ideal for reasons already said!! If the plate was riveted in or made to look like a van I think this would be the better choice!! IMO!!!

i dont like the idea of bein lik a van - however i love the paint job of that matt black saxo, looks mint (bumper looks crap though)
