anyone know of a site that has a round up of interest rates?
currently have a mini isa but sure rate of interest is 4.9% which sucks i think, sure there are alot better interest rates i could get, also wanting to go from a 3k limit to 7k, or does any one know of a better type of account i could get?
cheers

oh yea...
I have a Mini ISA account with £2 in...need to save tbh...
If you could comfortably save over 3k then maxi ISA is for ya...
why not take a trip to Halifax and ask them...

Have a look at ICESAVE from iceland they beat any UK interest rates and are more secure than any UK Bank.
Also have a look at bond for 6 months or a year with a lump sum investment.
Apart from that i would look at an offshore account such as Kaupthing Edge.

Also a maxi ISA has to be in shares once you have over £3600 invested in cash on the financial year upto the allowance which is now £7200.

The FSA's website has up to date comparison tables - http://www.fsa.gov.uk/tables
Mini cash ISAs are under savings accounts, the stocks & shares ISAs are under Unit Trust & OEIC ISAs.

ICESAVE requires £1000 to open an account.
moneysavingexpert forums will have plenty of info - but with the credit crunch interest rates have dropped. I have one with ING and get 6% for 6 months, then it's 4% or 5% rest of the year..it was an incentive.
Also take into consideration how easy it is to get money out of the ISA, will it cost you anything, is there a minimum time the money must be in the account before withdrawing etc
Edit: Quick must have posted as I was typing, don't forget to look on their forums too though!

I also banked with Barclays so i need to go speak to them, i won't be saving 7k though... £3600 in a year is easy though
I don't think i would trust some back street internet ISA's ?

I have current one with enough in, i can open one and put more than the 1k needed.
I never touch it, the one i have now i can make 2 with drawals and not lose interest rate but if i make more i lose it, but as said i wouldnt touch it
not planning on touching it for at least 5 years
