I would recommend taking a foot pump and a tyre pressure gauge if you have one so you can check and adjust your pressures if needed after a session out on track.
Make sure you have your towing eye handy aswell, you will need this on the car when out on track.
Tyres is the main thing, check to make sure the tyres are free of any nails etc. And make sure they have plenty of tread. You wont use too much rubber but you wouldnt want to go home on illegal tyres.

My check list goes like:
License (both parts just incase)
tape for lights
towing eye
spare can of fuel
sober
helmet
fluid levels all correct
several cans of pre race red bull (alex-vts ;))
and that should see you through :y:

check you have all the necessary paperwork.
Pack your helmet.
On the car a basic check on tyres, wheelbolts, interior cleared of everything.
then check brake pad condition, brake fluid quality and quantity (i like to change the fluid before the event) then engine oil, make sure there are no leaks, coolant levels - bleed the system to make sure thats performing at its best.

All sounds like solid advice!
I have recently replaced all the brake fluid, front and rear discs, braided brake hoses etc.
I have been having problems with the coolant though. I've taken the day off work on Friday in order to sort it though. Can silicone sealant plug holes at joins in the coolant system?
