Possibly the gayest noise ever.

Ive recently had my head gasket fixed but im getting a constant noise its like a tick tick tick and when i put my foot down or apply more revs it gets louder.

Is it tappets? and how easy or what would i be looking at to get it fixed?

Have you got oil in your car mate? no or low oil can make an engine tap sometimes.....have a look :y:

I had my tappets done in my 205gti at a performance garage local to me and they supplied and fitted them for £120, but as VTR-Chris-VTR said also check your oil levels and have a look around the rocker cover gasket for any oil/splits this can also cause the tapping to be noisier!!!

Probably wont be a bearing if the car's sitting there idling mate.
