Over the last 3-4 years of driving I have always had a problem getting pulled... But being a girl I have always been able to talk my way out of it :p
I have always wanted to join the police force and have been advised that they will be recruiting at the end of the month... I'm worried that I might have to wave goodbye to my girl racers days and exchange them for being the bitch who I always used to moan about for pulling me over... :(

I'm not ready to give up my VTS yet...

you dont have to give up your 'girl racer days' as there are track days if you want to drive fast and have fun. what you do in your social life is up to you also. if its what you want to do then join up tbh!

Just cos your a copper dont mean you cant enjoy your car. You should be abiding by the rules anyways so why would it make a difference?

Haha... Brilliant!

I do abide by the rules, but when I meet friends and peeps for cruises and such things alike, we sometime get police interest (becasue some of the lads are complete dicks) and Im sure how that would be looked apon??

And I know this sounds awful but loads of people I cruise with have already been cold with me for wanting to work for Traffic Police, at the end of the day I know its my life and I can already see ymself going further than any of them but it makes me sad to think I have been friends with such shallow people for the last 2 odd years.

P.S I already to track days, the bloody excellant :):):P

totally agree with you if your sticking to the rules of the road then it wont change anything but with your problem of always being pulled and managing to talk your way out of it because your female then your obviously not sticking to the rules so therefore if you join the police then your girl racer days would be over

no job in the world should affect your ability to have a passion for something. if the job is one that you want to pursue then do it, the car will always be available on your off days, simple as.

It's a case of 'one of us or one of them.' You're friends now, but what happens when you have to pull one of them over, arrest them, take someone to court over drink driving etc..can't blame them for being funny with you now as those friendships will be over as soon as you have to pick your job or them.
