Sorry to hear it mate :n: There was a guy up here who had the same thing happen to him he was 19 owned a 206 GTi and wrote it off said they would send him the letter to say he was banned.. He never received it so continued on driving :O

Iv been to game to cheer myself up and get a new SeXBox...

But im banned untill i can do my test again,and here its a 2 month wait for theory, and another 2 for your test... so its gone be a good 6 months if you ask me.

Also, gota move out now because i have no income to pay the rent, so back home with the parents.

Magistrates didnt listen to a word i said.

They brought in whitnesses who arrived after the crash.... how do they know my level of driving, when i said this "yes, but these help build the case and prove you to be a lier"

Well, court again today.. For rolling the saxo...

9 Points + £300 + £180 court fees

Added to last week.. 5 Points + £125 + £180 court fees...

Grand Total..

14 Points + £785 = BAN = Lost Job = Skint = Gota move out = Life Destruction.

Thats me done boys and girls. Was a good run i suppose.

They said i can drive untill i get e letter of notification.

I think you will find the Police have NOTHING to do with the sentence, it is down to the Magistrates or Judge. they are the ones to blame not the Police, the Police just gather the evidence and put it before the court.

Would you have the same view had your mum/dad/girlfriend been walking where he rolled and been killed? No I think not.

I dont really know you, but somthing isn't right here :( I read the other thread and somthing is missing/not explaining everything ? Bad luck what ever has happened! But life is not over? I crashed my VTR bought a VTS, has been parked on the side while I repair (everything) for 2 months, and I've managed to get on the train to work etc. And tbh I think I will be getting the train everyday when my car is fixed. No conducter on the train FTW. Can you not get bus / train / cycle to work, obviously if you drive for a living it might be an issue!

shit really aint it i got 6 poitns in 1st year of driving so have had licence revoked got test soon and is gay not being able to go somewhere when you want because you cant drive and i only not had my licence for 2 months. will soon find out who your real mates are when theyre driving everywhere to pick you and take you places though. atleast you miss out on crazy petrol prices and can put the moeny towards making a quality track car

Ive read some poeples in quotes in the insurance section on here and they are able to insure cars still at normal prices.

My cousin got banned for a year or 2 after driving a corsa at 150mph in a 60 (it had a calibra turbo engine n a few other things) and hes thinking of a corsa vxr or something, so u might still be able to get the vtr insured mate!

At least in the time your not driving u can either save your money, or rush it straight into your saxo n make it sumthing special :y:

feel for you, i rolled an old freebie honda accord i was given last week and now im in court on the 27th for manor dangerous and there proof is a photo of a 3-4ft skid mark on the road taken the day after the crash and are claiming the car didnt skid because i was going so fast :s

I'm still bitter at the 3 points I got in 1996 for speeding in Normanton in a Fiesta 950 (52mph). Just increasing speed for the hill climb leading to Pineapple Hill.

Think a lot of my mates who got banned all turned to drugs.

1 got accused of speeding in his furio, he took it out th day he bought it, just for a little drive, n seen the police, tried to get away, but no luck, they had an omega. although he didnt get done for speeding, coz the cop was like "speeding there werent you?" mate was like, "no", cop - "yes you were, admit it" mate "no i wasnt, prove it!" cop was speechless lol. but he got his car impounded, and got six points and a £400 fine, but he ddint get a ban. although, he did have insurance, which he bought tht day, the majistrated said he still shouldnt have taken the car out, and he should have waited for the documents to come through.

other mate got caught drivin his mams car around town with the fogs on, haha idiot. 8 points. 2 years

other mate was bleezin and crahsed a car in the middle of nowhre, and just left, but he got done for like leavin the scene of the crime etc etc, 6 points £350

and the other was drivin a car tht was sittin at a mates house, with no tax insurance mot, only got stopped coz he had broken tail light. 6 month ban and £300. no points tho.

tis wierd indeed.

Me and my mate were caught racing by traffic, I got clocked doing 105mph and he was clocked doing 98mph.

We both went court, for doing 98 he got 14 day ban, 6 points and £300 fine, I only got 5 points and £185 for doing 105!!

I was lucky, but still think it was unfair as I was doing just over a ton.

I think it might be a case of the ol' boys Vs girls, if I was lad I bet I wouldnt have a licence today!!

My mate also got recently done.

got followed by a police car for about 15 mins he didnt actually realise it was a few cars behind, he overtook dangeroulsy on two bends, he was doing well over 100 in a 60 zone and he got away from the T5 police car and when he eventually got to traffic lights they managed to pull him up,

he didnt goto court for like 5 months!

all he got was a £250 fine, 28 day ban and 0 points!

his job pleaded for him all they could coz he was dependant on a car to get to work!

6 month ban is nothing really mate, will fly by. I was banned for 2 years for something very very minor. It flew by.

We all learn from our mistakes though.
