If I was Sir Alex, I would have sold him for £70mil. Theres players out there with the same sort of skill that actually want to play football for United. £70million is good IMO. He will go to Real Madrid and become shit exactly like other players have done i.e. Beckham and Henry(although he went to barca). They all go shit once they move, bring on next season imo!!!:y::y:

Exactly. Its guaranteed he will find it shit over there, and want to come back. He is deffinitely moving for money and 'glamour'. Lets have some players that actually truely want to play for us and be faithful to United :y:. Ronaldo was a good player but I think there are better players out there waiting to be snapped up ;)

I agree totally mate. Like i've said in the previous posts. He will want to come back in a year or so. Sir Alex made Ronaldo really, he made him famous and gave him a quality chance in life. He's literally threw all that back in his face and said 'F*ck you!!'. As for the team, we will still win the prem next year, and the year after :p;)

In my honest opinion i think alot of players nowadays are too concered with money. Dont get me wrong, there are plenty of players that play because they are passionate about the game but its the big names that get overwhelmed by the £££ side of it. As said i think Ronaldo will regret it if he moves to Real and will end up loosing his star quality. :n:

its hardly all about money. for one its real madrid, arguably the biggest club in the world. also its been his dream club since he was a boy. plus i think anyone would rather the great weather in spain compared to the rainy skies in manchester. his already achieved everything he can at man utd, why not move on?

united have lost players before and still got on well.
Nani can grow into a player like ronaldo, and it may take a few years but he does have the talent.
Tbh if the money thats been shouted about is what united do get for him its the best thing for the club, invest it wisely and get a few players, at the end of the day ronaldo could have got injured first game of the year and be out for a season, its the way sport is. I think its been obvious for a long time now that his loyalties dont lie with united.

lol Le Arse's young team wont ever mature into a great side, theres to much petulant behaviour allowed by AW. If they cut that out then maybe they could be, everyone knows how petulant ronaldo was very early in his career and even though still present fergie calmed him down alot, something AW never does with players.
Everyones shouting about the players on the market atm but most are all spent forces and now just living off a reputation they had 2-3 years ago.
United would be far better off buying a few talented players who need work, so let chelski and LE ARSE fight it out for a year or two to win the premiership, but then have a team of world beaters AGAIN :P

might want to read my comments that we have survived without players, however buying in players who need development may upset the structure of the squad in the short term. Plenty of golascorers still at united, id rather us worry about finding a non lightweight carrick.

not strong enough to lead a midfield espec now scholes is nearing the end of his career, said to be the new beckham, but clear differences in work rate, and the fact carrick is pushed off the ball way to easily, and cant tackle at least he isnt as much of a liability as saha and fletcher.
Jacko
20th June 2008, 00:13
the new beckham? different role and different possition for a start....and we have anderson and hargreaves for dominating the centre of the park...i think carricks hold up play and link up play are second to none...cant say if ever seen him easily pushed of the ball either...
as for saha, when he is on the pitch he is always effective...just stupidly unlucly with injuries...
and fletcher i think is a solid substitute...always comes on and gives 100%...cant say ive ever doubted his possition within the team...

[assing and crossing ability is why he was raved about being the new beckham but he isnt a complete player, just seems an average player and not a superstar.
Saha is lazy and hardly ever effective, unless a ball is at his feet he wont move for it, and his strike rate is also pitiful. almost as bad a buy as veron and poborsky were.
fletcher has only ever done one decent thing and that was score against chelski, he looses posession far far to easily in important positions.
fletcher and saha should have gone and smith and butt not gone to newcastle, smith had one of the highest work rates ive ever seen, same as butt, smith just never seemed to get the break and chance to play in the positions he deserved, hargreves is being pushed into more of a defensive role now aswell
Jacko

42 goals in 124 appearances is hardly pitiful....
it is when hes meant to be the main goal scorer, 1 in every 3 games isnt world class, especially when you compair it to the now leaving winger we had this season.
Just cant stand lazy players, rooney has such a high work rate as does teves, it allways clear when saha is on the pitch watching the grass grow. At least rooney is effective even when not scoring, usually involved in the build up play, saha is a 6 yard poacher and a poor one at that.
Jacko
20th June 2008, 00:33

i love all the arm chair coaches here. Shouldn’t you be at practise... ohh yea that’s right you aren’t real coaches.
If Ronaldo wants to move that’s his choice, all these people on here who can see into the future and tell he’s going to be shite in a couple of years. Do you mind sending me the lotto numbers for tonight?
If he wants to go let him go, he’s done a great job for united. Why not give him a bit of respect because without him you would not have been the team you were.
Apart from that no one hear knows the full story so how can you make him out to be the one totally to blame. There may be other circumstances also. One minute all united fans love him and he is there hero and now he’s a shite player and a dickhead. Thats funny haha

what a cunt he is
headline in the paper today:
I dont care what fergie thinks
hes an arrogant tit
if i were fergy i wouldnt sell him, i'd keep him and just sit him on the bench, or not even pick him for that
he may be probably the best player in the world but hes an arse

cant just stick him on bench. FIFA rules state unless players play 10% of all games in a season they go on free transfer.
you also do realise that the press (papers etc...) write an awful lot of shite.

Why do people dislike the guy??????
cos fergie has treated him really well
and he just goes and tells him where to go effectively
from the quotes and things hes said on interviews and at the end of games and stuff he sounds like he wants to go and doesnt care what anyone thinks
