Tom Tom One (V3) is £99 in Halfords at the moment.
pros.
Its a tom tom
very easy to use a reliadble
quite a small unit
some iof the best softwear on the market on it
can be updated on http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ for a small anual fee with unlimited DLs
Cons.
there anrnt any real cons as such
Also for a similar unit look at the Garmin Nuvi 200 i think its about £109 but you get a free case. although i think this unit is due an update in the next few weeks to a 205.
DO NOT BUY:
Route 66
My guide
or LG
they all have cheap components and the interface is so difficult to use on them. and some of the actual sat nav capabilities aren't that good.
hope this helped.

tom tom one xl is about £170 now
theres no current garmin models below £130- dont buy an older model, they wil have old and out of date maps on. some maps can be in excess of £80 to update.
just found out 2day that theres a new model tom tom one, but its a differnt price to the v3 model (currently on offer in halfords and commet)
the road angels arent too good as a sat nav oer say, but they excell at speed camera 'detection'
