and also, i think the vans with the cctv cameras on roof do not detect speeding, especially if it drove past as you said, then it wouldnt be able to tell speed

here pal if you do get a fine, argue it since the lagalities state you are allowed 10% so technicly you could do 44 in a 40 and not be fined.

You were seen by a CCTV van lol they record people at football matches or gangs to catch criminals fighting, vandalism etc.

They dont have the ability to record your speed or take a photo it is simply a video camera.

And fines start at 45 in a 40 anyway so u wud be ok.

Wouldnt trust the 'few mph' over ...
My step dad got 3 point etc for doing 45 in a 40.
Not worth the risk imo.

if you say that your actually admitting to speeding so they will fine you, just say your speedo must have been slightly out and you didnt realise but on looking at the evidence i see that i was only doing 43 when i was under the belief that i was aloud 10% over the limit before being punished.
also ask them when the camera was last calibrated.
