Rear disc brake

Right i got a problem, my rear drivers caliper is broke and leaking fluid, ive got a new caliper ready along with new disc and pads, only problem is the copper pipe going into caliper well the bolt has rounded and i cant undo it.

So i need to drive the car to a garage tommorrow to get them sorted, only thing is hardly any braking power at all so what i wanna no is this.

If i bend the copper pipe or get a pipe clamp to shut of the fluid that goes in to the broken caliper and then bleed the three remaining brakes, will that be ok to make the other brakes work enough to drive the car? cause i dont fancy driving the car to the garage with no brakes tbh.

Yeh but i wont have no brakes lol, that why i wanna just clamp the pipe going to the broken caliper and bleed the system on the 3 remaining brakes just so they work to get it to garage

would work but advise you to be towed with a bar not rope;)
just incase your crimped pipe fails

if you brake hard enough im sure fluid would force through

tbh i wouldnt drive it mate wait till its sorted, if your brakes fail then your pretty well buggered

What if i bend the copper pipe twice? and maybe a clamp if required?

really wouldnt drive it at all mate, you could however block it up with somng and add solder like copper pipework in your home i suppose, see if you canget end caps for that size pipe, not sure if you can

it would work but hope you dont need to brake hard

if it was me then i would just tow with a bar mate

its not worth causing an accident or even points on licence if ya get pulled and spot checked

Yeh i no what you mean but i havent got a tow bar or nothin.

really wouldnt drive it at all mate, you could however block it up with somng and add solder like copper pipework in your home i suppose, see if you canget end caps for that size pipe, not sure if you can

Yeh i dont like driving it, i havent been since tbh, just need to get it sorted before i got to work on monday, cos i got to travel like 15-20miles to work each day

no i mean a bar that attatches to your towing eye and to another cars rear towing eye mate

its like a scaffolding bar with a locking huck on both sides and the driver towing does all the braking
