Ive got a standard desire and the plastic part of the grill beneath the chevrons is VERY grey. ive tried all the stuff (including baby oil) and it doenst come up black.

is it supposed to be black? i know its been replaced, just wondering if its been done with some shitty one from a scrappy.

could i re-spray the plastic part? does it come apart from the chevrons?

You could respray the whole grille to match the colour of your car, you could mesh it, anything... the chevrons are on clips :y:

The grill surround is the same colour as my car has the colour coded bumpers, but its the plastic slats in between the surround that are grey. Thats the 1st stuff i used too, didnt work at all. can anyone reccomend some black spray that will stay on and leave a similar finish to the black on my mirrors?

thanks :D

Apparently Citroen changed the plastics which make up the grill at some point. I've got a 2002 VTS and the grill is totally different to my friends VTR which is on a Y plate in material. I've tried all sorts on mine including the Meg's Gold Class stuff which is normally brill, but it's still that horrible greyish colour...

Oh well it's going to be getting the full treatment with de-slating etc soon anyway tbh.
