been thining about this alot recently.

about 5 years ago body kits were all the rage, i was looking through the sax-p gallery and the meets n shows etc from 2001 all cars have body kits.

Now 6 years on and we laugh at body kits and generally no-one likes them and they are really out of fashion. also lexus lights etc.

in 5/6 years are we all gonna be laughing at us now, and think what idiots we were, doing what we do to our cars?

trends will allways happen (the current track trend is a bit sad unfortunately) everyone jumped on the bandwagon saying they were a track whore because the stripped the rear seats out lol!!

I remeber when someone fitting 17"s on a saxo was seen as an accomplishment now its seen as been there done that now its gay...

Viper stripes used to be all the rave, so were alloy wings etc...

There are allways the hardcore who will stay true to heart though, there are some guys on here doing big bokdykitted cars and good luck to them, same as there were people doing track days long before it was 'cooooool'

No one will have cars in 5/6 years as we wont be able to afford the petrol, so dont worry about it :y:

i think the 4x4 will be the new lookm Lol!, in a few years, had the kits, andthe euro, and the standard and subtle, its now time for 4x4 style

saxo's will have landrover wheels and spot lights on the roof, and front bumper bars lol

prepare for the take over lol

the current trend i would say is the subtle mods, so the next big thing will probs be ostentatious.

i think the trends are set by influences from other modders some will be original with there idea then they get noticed and some else will say that looks good ill do that then some else copies them then so on and so forth till its just the trendy thing to do.the folk that go out there and do what they want to their car regardles of the trend at the time are the best cause its some thing different to every 1 else if there was a meet with the whole of the sax-p members how many of us would have pritty much identical cars.

go to the older pages page 10,9,8

I recon the next thing will be completley standard looking cars, just lowered, and exhaust then LOADS of engine mods, the more decieving and normal looking the better.

In 5 years i dont wanna look back on what im doing now thinking what i think about body kits now lol.

im not going to lie, but i did strip my car out to look ...

but in doing so it got me interested in the engine side of cars, now going on further by doing motorsport engineering, should be good....

Who cares about f***ing trends!
If everyone went with the "Trend" then no Car would ever be unique!
People with this "Subtle Theme" make me laugh, The whole Point of making your car look good is to make it stand out to a CERTAIN extent...Not blend into the Daily Traffic Background!
