hia guys, just spun in the rain n smashed my rear drivers side on the curb, bent my wheel in :wall:
just wondered what the damage is, axel, torion bar replacement??? :panic:
or just a simple straightening up job.

need a new rear beam, and have the boot floor checked for any creases tbh!

wimp tbh ryan...

get a scaffolding pole,weld it to your hub, and bend her back, good as new... cant be much worse than standard cit/put parts ;)

As Ryan said, rear beams gone. Time to hunt out parts people. Quite a few on here actually... As Cit dealers will charge you silly amounts.

second hand vt beams go between 125-200 thats not refurbed either.

plus fitting, plus if you damaged the mounting points.

A new rear beam is going to cost you at least £120-150 plus then you have you fit it.

90 for my rear beam, theres the slightest little bend in it :) cant notice it on a car tho :P

it aint proper bent, its like a dint in the yellow bit.. you look at one side and u cant see it, look at the other and you do..

doesnt effect driving, we tried it on my mates 106.

My cousin got a rear axle from the scrap yard for £30 and Me,My brother and him fitted it our selves, it also came with shocks aswell.

Thats a bitch mate, rear beams are pricey to replace.
I had a slide in the wet the other day. Slapped a hedge and dented the side panels, real pain in the ass as I was just about to sell up aswell. :n:
Bloody english weather ! lol! Hope you get it sorted :y:

as i said in a thread a few months back, did the same... beam cost me £90 and it is off a peugeot 106 (fits perfect) and £150 labour....
but get your boot checked!

Just don't drive it like a prick in the rain then, if you take corners at about 5mph less than what they should be taken at you will have no problems...

all done - no other damage at all.

was a pain to change though, everything that could go wrong did (rusy nuts and bolts - broken bleed nipples and bust brake cylinders)

did same except i just was going to fast for conditions went round corner to fast backend came out smashed kerb got new axle for £45 from local mechanic as he was breaking a westie and me and jonezy fitted it and i gave him £60 simple undo 4 bolt thing brake lines and handbrake, you may also need a new wheel if youv buckled it and they look liek new tyres did you wear them in abit~?

i smashed the kerb with my rear drivers wheel and it bent in just like urs thought my rear axel was bent (urs could possibly be bent) but it wont i just bent my wheel back put it back on and found it was scraping 4 some strange reason so when i took wheel off again found the inner wheel arch was bent so just hammered it back now is good as new.

the rear beam was bent - very bent. the inner arch was slightly bent (now straight) all is good now
