Hey all, I've just signed up to this forum, after searching around for a fuse diagram I finally found one here!
But now I'm confused.
I've compared the diagram to my Saxo X, and fuse F8 has gone...
On the fuse table it says F8 is 20A. But mine is 30A and it's been working fine.
It went yesterday because my clock's stopped and my interior light doesn't work... Must've been when I was trying to get my stereo working (Which still doesn't work =/ Lol)
Anyway.. Any idea why on Earth it's different?
BTW link to the diagram is here: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60183&highlight=fuse
Thanks in advance for any help :)

Sounds like a higher rated fuse has been put in to stop something from tripping out, only this causes more problems as it can fry the wires. I'd personally put the original and correct fuse in then maybe do some circuit tests with a multimeter!

Hey, thanks for the reply :)
What could possibly trip out though? I don't know anything about cars I'm afraid =/
Also, I was under the impression that the fuses vary depending on what year/model car you have. When I had a 306, the fuses were different to those from a different year 306 of the same model. Is this the same for Saxos?

It could be that two wires have melted together or a loose earth or a break in a wire any of these could cause the problem!
If it's a bigger engine or even if the manufacturer has changed the design, i.e. the location of the fuses in the fusebox. This may effect the layout but not usually the fuse size.:y:

It could've possibly tripped out when you were messing about with your stereo. As suggested replace with the correct fuse. Too high a fuse could result in the wires burning then setting fire to your wiring loom or even your car.

Hey, thanks to both of you for your replies, I've replaced it with a 20A fuse and everything's fine :D
Shame I blew all 3 that I bought todaywhilst messing with my stereo haha... I probably should've disconnected the battery....
