had any problems with your airbags?
ever shove things under the seat?
does it flash or just appear constantly there?
if you go under the seat, have a look at the orange wires, have a little fiddle with them, just move them bout, disconnect them under the seat, should be a brown plug, then connect back up, thats the pretensioners for the seatbelts which is linked with the airbags, could be that you have touched them or they are unsettled somehow, just do that and it should go out

I've got the same problem, tried fiddling with the wires but no luck. Think I'll have another bash tomorrow. Really annoys me and is probably quite dangerous too because the airbag won't go off if I crash.

airbag lights:
1) wont fail the mot, i crashed mine bonnet crunched side pannels fucked and still no airbag lol
if the lights is just on its is a problem where if its flashing it is warning you of a larger problem which stated maybe due to the wiring uder the seats, play aroudn with them and see what happens

check the following connectors mate, mine was on, then i fiddled with the one behind the ignition surround at i has been off for 2 years
the orange wire (connector block) under the seat for the seatbelt pretensioner.
there is another connection point in the fuse box area below the glove box.
and one more is located behind the steering wheel/ignition surround.

when i had my seat out, for about 5 minutes it would flash, then it would just stay lit
and correct, will not fail MOT. put mine through MOT with it on
