your not gonna get much for that tbh

if your using a sponge and chamois leather then stop

lambswool wash mitt, microfibre mitt, and waffle weave towel is the way to go, i first started out with this kit when i started to get decent stuff

best thing you can get is a claybar kit, will make the car look much better, you will need to clean the car, then claybar it, wash the car again, apply a polish followed by a sealent and then a wax to get the best results

get these

wash mitt
drying towel
applicator pads
microfibre cloths
shampoo
polish with sealant
bumper care
tyre shine
alloy wheel cleaner
glass cleaner

that imo is your basics and should make it look respectable

I built my kit up over a few weeks using recommendations from here and looking around to get the best deals coz by the time you add P+P on everything it gets a bit steep if you’re on a low budget.
Got a fair amount from ebay …I know it doesn’t have the best rep but from stevieg606 I got Sonus paintwork cleanser (16oz), Poorboys spray & wipe (16oz) plus free MF towel & sprayer and Poorboys trim restorer (16oz) plus free MF towel & applicator for under £23 (inc P+P) and he threw in some extra applicators. From specialistvehicledetailing (also ebay) I got a Poorboys large WW towel, Nattys Blue wax and a Sonus Der Wunder MF applicator for £23 (inc P+P). Got some Autoglym bodywork shampoo from Halfords on special offer and a couple of MF towels and wash mitts from the car shop near here. Haven’t got a clay bar yet coz I’m still deciding which one to get. It pays to look around tho, for example, someone on here recommended Autoglym Interior shampoo …it’s a fiver in Halfords or £4.98 on ebay inc P+P & a MF towel …not much in it but made me feel all warm inside coz I got a free MF towel hehe.
