Hey

need to give the car a yearly service now, would you take it to a garage and get it done and the book stamped?

or

Do you do it yourself and dont get the book stamped but still have the service spanner off the dash?

hmmmmm

I'd service it myself, get ALL reciepts for the work, write in service book all mileage/date etc and then remove spanner.

Just as good as FSH.

I'd also do it myself, you'll save money doing it not only that but at least you know it has been done and as Luke said keep the reciepts and a log of the milage and work carried out!

Getting ours done at arnold clark on sat, £69 for a 32 point service with citreon parts, seems not too bad :)

Try http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123688&highlight=service+light to turn off the spanner!
