right noticed there was oil leaking from around rocker cover gasket so replaced that today, also had oil spray in engine bay and on underside of bonnet. when i removed the breather filter and pressed accelerator had oil spraying out occasionally. 1. is this normal? meant to happen or not? 2. will a oil catch tank prevent this?

i had similar problem but it was the dipstick spitting oil so had to get a new one but it doesn't spit it from the breather, its a pain in the backside cleaning the oil off everyday tho :wall:

Seems these rubber seals perish after a while. Replaced mine a little while back and its not been a problem since. Mind out though if you are doing it that you keep track of the spacers that sit on the two bolts under the rocker cover. These are a pain in the ass to line up when you put the cover back on and far too easy to lose in amongst the rockers!!! Shat my pants when I thought one had fell inside the engine!!!!!
