Seeing as people seem to ignore the advice written in the for sale section and now in this section:- please use your common sense and do not accept goods for sale from newbies/relatively new members who pm you.

The members

mrsporty20
besaxo
dan1800
are all the same person - nikolashewitt.

nikolashewitt guy has scammed around 2.5k from members who are gullible enough to part with their cash without taking a step back and using some common sense.

Sadly this advice needs to be written in black and white, as apart from banning this dickhead's ip addresses constantly, he still signs up with new accounts to pm people.

There is now no excuse for threads being made asking what the site can do to help, you have been warned.

For sale section should be limited to people with more than 500 posts plus

Sean
24th June 2008, 15:59
doesn't stop people with less than x amount of posts pm'ing people though, that's what i'm getting at, although I agree 100% with you. I'd go as far as to stop people with under x amount of posts actually being able to see the for sale and wanted sections.

Shame there is such CARELESS people about wanting to con people feel sorry for them and there family tbh. Imagine stooping that low to con people its just LOW!
Also to come on a site like this were there is loads of good honest people and basically rob them of there money its just not right! Then it causes upset throughout the community and makes everyone really suspicous about everyone. Its beyond me tbh i just dont understand it! SAD!

Sorry for those who have been scammed feel for you!

The blokes a twat, i posted a wanted add for some gti interior and he sent me this

"Hi Carter,

I have a 106 gti leather interior, everything is there apart from the rear doorcards, i used standard black plastic saxo ones.

its in pristine condition, im in sheffield so would you collect or I could send it through work on a pallet if i wrap it carefully. We use a company called PMB so I can get it send for £10.99.

But you are welcome to collect if you wanted. Sold the saxo today and I know this was the most expensive part so put a normal interior in first.

Id like to just make abit of money up.

£250 deliverd?

I'll PM you some pictures, got some in my photobucket.

thanks Daniel"

i sent back saying id collect them, havent heard a word since

It's disgraceful how someone does this to be honest, I hope something gets done but to be truthful I think he will will get off lightly.

I only ever buy from mainly people I have met or who are really established members on here.

What about a system like this for the sales section:

Member sends a stamped addressed envelope to a mod.
Mod sends the stamp addressed envelope back to the person with a code inside.
The member then pm's the mod the code.
The mod then gives the user access to the sales section.

This way the mods have the names and addresses of anyone using the section and this would surely reduce the risk of scams.

Just an idea :y:

Tim_1

go to the police is all i can say, he has conned me out of £240, the police have been round there and spoken to him, telling him to pay me, or face being arested and taken in for questioning, SO FOR GOODS SAKE go to your local police station and say you want to report a case of "internet fraud" they will take a statement, copy of your PM's and then get in contact with his local police force. if enough people get off their asses and do something they will soon realise what a prick this guy is. Im sure you can Pm one of the mods for his Address.

too complicated imo

ryans idea seems best.. whereby for sale section is invisible to those who dont have X ammount of posts, therefore they cant send a sneaky PM to people saying they have this and that for sale

At the prospect of making £2,500 from scamming people I doubt it would be much effort to post 100 times or whatever to get access.

What about doing both? Better to be safe than sorry.

do you expect mods have nothing else to do but sit go through post, then go and post stuff back.

never going to work/happen.

This IS something we can combat and stamp out.

So he's still tyring to get into Saxperience but using new names all the time.

What an Idiot he must be.

As we have said allready. If you go premium, we get verified adress. This means if anything happens we have a record of this to give to police.
