Nope, semi slagging has been on my mind for years with various cars. I can't get to work on it until after the 'ring sadly as I have 2 passengers.

lol im the opposite i think it looks a big pile of wank but there were a few there that had done more than just rip everthying out, theyd made them look decent at the same time

yeh dont get me wrong i dont mind a slag with a splitter and attention to detail in places, everything riped out and 1 seat thrown in looks shit,i prefer to see the whole inside fully repainted includin doors etc,and flocked dashes are shexxy

I thought FCS would make me want a vts or a gti or a 1*2.... but it hasn't

I'm suprised, i'm very happy with my car though :)

I slagged my AX in 2001 before i'd ever seen another stripped out car on the roads, and my vts in feb 2004 when i first got it. Now every bastard wants to jump on the track car bandwagon :(

I had a semi stripped car i, erm, 2004 or 05 I think, that was after I saw a road legal stripped and caged version that moistened me. I can only go semi slag for now as I have to run my grandad about quite a bit, he's too old to climb to buckets, work a harness (he struggles with a normal seatbelt) and christ knows how he'd manouvre in with a cage in there. It would also look highly suspect parked anywhere with the blue badge on the dash.

lol good point :D

I used to drive to work and back with a full cage etc.

Now it's pipe and slippers time.

You can never have a proper track car as a road car, you need two cars to do the track car thing properly really.

If you're going on track ultimately you need a cage, and then there's a fair chance you will crash or break something, so you need a backup car for when that does happen, unless you live within walking distance of work, or have decent public transport links lol

Looking at the FCS pics of GTI's makes me want one, some of them looked so good.

Think i might stay true to the saxo though. :P

theres sumthin about track slags tht does it for me... everycar i had has ben stripped, strut braced. i bought the saxo wit no interior apart from dash so basically hard work was done... jst got sum buckets and a show cage for now but started saving for cage... any ideas on best one to get? money and safety wise?

My old charade gtti had a strut brace as standard, I'm scared to think what it would have been like without it, had to drop it 40mm for it to handle like a normal hatch. Forged goodies as standard and rapid in a straight line though, wish I'd never sold it :(

The back end of mine will be stripped on my return from germany with a few more tweaks before Llandow and Trax.
