how does the gearknob come off a westie anyone no? i try'd but it wernt shifting.

put it in fourth and pull hard and should come straight off.....

You really gotta tug it mate, had same prob with ma forte, but it came off eventually, i ended up in the back but came off lol

what i did : put it 4th, get one leg over, squat down so each bum cheek is sittin on each seat, and give it an almighty tug. if you twist and pull it helps also - worked for me- if after all that its definately not comin off you could always get your mate stanley to take it off? http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh210/rodzd126/stanley-retractable-blade-knife.jpg

If your westie has the same knob as the mk2 vtr then best to cut the lower part off with a stanley knife - the bit which is made of squashy rubber. It's this part that holds the knob on. No great effort to get it off then.
