it depend on wat u want if ya wnt power alpine definately, for example ive just doing an install on my saxo n ive used this.

iv got the pioneer deh-p80mp pioneer and i thiks it really good! cost me £300!

right depends what your after, for £1000 you could buy a tremendously high spec head unit BUT would probably not make proper use of it without spending another few k on speakers.

What do you want, just a cd/mp3 headunit? or are you after a flipout monitor dvd setup? navigation?

i'd recommend a Pioneer DEH-P77MP, the far most prettiest HU i've ever seen.
In croatia costs around 270 quid

the AVIX-1? Lovely unit, wanted ti myself but when i bought my flippy screen it was just out and nearer 2k smileys/smiley5.gif

And if your going to spend 3k on everything else, buy GOOD stuff RE audio, Diamond, JL, Genesis etc... dont go for main brand shite

W7's are awesome but not really built for SPL so if your wanting Loudest of the loud there not the ones. Plus you'll need a 36mm baffle to hold the weighty bastardssmileys/smiley17.gif
