ok, probabky been asked a million times but im getting really worried

first one is a knocking noise, sounds like its coming from the drivers footwell somewhere. Seems to happen more when i put the cluch down

second is a whirling noise when in 4th gear. Doesnt happen in any others. I can go from 3rd to 4th to 5th and it only happen when in 4th for some reasons?

any ideas, rep will be given :y:

Whirling noise could possibly be the 4th gear cluster noisy.

thanks, rep given
the whirling happens in other gears too
happens in 5th gear when its really low revs and they start building up

Hows the gearbox oil level bud? Check that if its general, I was going from your 1st Post (4th gear only) U might be lucky if its low oil level in the 'box, question is why is it low, can you see a leak at all?

If your gearbox oil is ok, then have a look at the gearbox bearings as they may be drying out and as the whirring only appears in higher gears this will be due to the revolutions of the bearing.Hope this helps!!!
